THE GREEN STUFF! Herbal itch eliminator! This stuff really works

As summer is rolling in we may find ourselves the main course at the mosquito buffet, or the target of an angry stinging thing...maybe even the unwittingly victim of those "leaves of three". Whatever the scenario, the itch can make anyone miserable!  The remedy I am sharing with you all today is the best herbal itch eliminator I have ever concocted.. You may want to get some started today, as it takes 6 weeks to make the base for this paste. It stars one of my all time favorite herbs: Plantain, and a few other herbal skin soothers.

I don't really measure but I will estimate for you all
1 cup dried plantain
1/4 cup St. John's Wort
1/4 cup yarrow
1/2 cup Comfrey (contains allantoin)
Enough wintergreen isopropyl alcohol to cover the herbs

Place all of the herbs in to a quart jar, and pour enough of the alcohol over them to cover them and have about an inch of liquid above them. Let this sit with the lid on for about 6 weeks in a cool dark place.
After 6 weeks you will have a strong tincture **FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY
I personally leave mine soaking in the herbs and pour off just a little as I need it. Fill a small jar (baby food size) about half full with this liquid and add equal parts baking soda and stir. It will form a very runny paste. This GLORIOUS GREEN GOOP is the itch fighter of the GODS!! (Ok maybe it isn't that great but it sure works!) It will look like the pictures below. Apply this to bug bites or stings a soon as possible. The itch will seem to disappear magically from small bug bites, such as ants, mosquitoes and gnats! For stings, make sure the stinger is removed if there is one, then place a large blob over the entire area.  Relief will start soon after applying. You can reapply as often as needed if the itch comes back. For poison plan trashes, mix in a few drops of a skin soothing oil such as olive oil, coco butter or my personal favorite coconut oil. Apply as often as needed.
WARNING* This mix will stain cloth, and will also turn the skin a temporary greenish, but easily washes off skin with water. **Shake well before each use.

BACA Mission Statement
Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of Bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. We desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that we are prepared to lend our physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and our physical presence. We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse. We do not condone the use of violence or physical force in any manner, however, if circumstances arise such that we are the only obstacle preventing a child from further abuse, we stand ready to be that obstacle.

Herbal relief for mouth sores

WOW! It's been a while! But I'm back and I'm bringing you all a sure fire recipe to aid in healing oral sores, such as canker sores and fever blisters. I've read many herbal remedies containing these herbs for oral pain and sores, however the problem is making those preparations stay on the area.  Then I discovered Karaya powder. Karaya gum is widely used in preparations that protect the skin and mucus membranes. I buy mine under the brand name Convatec Stomahesive protective powder. You can buy it through the link provided , or most drug stores have it or can get it. It is a natural product derived from the sap the sterculia urens tree.
Now without further blabbity blab.... here is the concoction
(Clockwise from top)
1 tsp dried echinacea
2 tsp lemon balm
1 tsp golden seal
1 tsp licorice root

Combine these into a 4 oz jar and cover with warm coconut oil. You will need to simmer this on low or keep warm in a water bath in your crock pot for 3 days, adding water to keep the level about 2/3 way up the jar.
After three days you will have an infused oil, strain well using cheese cloth or a fine strainer.
Make this oil into a soft salve by re-warming and adding 1 tsp bees wax. I use a glass bowl over a pot of boiling water to do this. DO NOT get water into the mixture, it will ruin the karaya when you add it next.

While the is mixture is still warm add 1/2-1 tsp karaya powder and stir stir stir. You are done! Store in a small jar or tin. Use a q-tip to dot on oral sores. It works best if you blot dry the area just a bit, once it come in contact with your saliva it will gel up and form a protective barrier as well as hold the healing herbs in place.
